Errol Leslie Thomson Flynn (20 June 1909 – 14 October 1959) was an Australian and American actor who achieved worldwide fame during the Golden Age of Hollywood. He was known for his romantic swashbuckler roles, frequent partnerships with Olivia de Havilland, and reputation for his womanising and hedonistic personal life. Flynn's roles include Robin Hood in The Adventures of Robin Hood (1938), which was later named by the American Film Institute as the 18th-greatest hero in American film history; the lead role in Captain Blood (1935); Major Geoffrey Vickers in The Charge of the Light Brigade (1936); and as the hero in a number of Westerns such as Dodge City (1939), Santa Fe Trail, Virginia City (both 1940) and San Antonio (1945). Flynn was posthumously awarded two stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame for his contributions to the motion picture and television industries in 1960.

Alex Sandro Lobo Silva (born 26 January 1991), better known as Alex Sandro (Brazilian Portuguese: [aˈlɛks ˈsɐ̃dɾu]) is a Brazilian professional footballer who plays as a left-back for Campeonato Brasileiro Série A club Flamengo. At club level, Alex Sandro began his career with Atletico Paranaense and later also played for Santos on loan. In 2011, he joined Porto for €9.6 million, alongside former teammate and countryman Danilo who played as a right-back. Joining Juventus in 2015, winning the domestic double in his first three seasons, followed by two more consecutive league titles over the following two years. At international level, Alex Sandro represents Brazil, for which he has gained over 40 caps. At youth level, he also represented the Brazil under-20 team, winning both the South American Youth Championship and the FIFA U-20 World Cup in 2011. He was also part of the Brazil squad that won the 2019 Copa América.

Concept

A microwave oven, or simply microwave, is an electric oven that heats and cooks food by exposing it to electromagnetic radiation in the microwave frequency range. This induces polar molecules in the food to rotate and produce thermal energy (heat) in a process known as dielectric heating. Microwave ovens heat food quickly and efficiently; the heating effect is fairly uniform in the outer 25–38 mm (1–1.5 inches) of a homogeneous, high-water-content food item. The development of the cavity magnetron in the United Kingdom made possible the production of electromagnetic waves of a small enough wavelength (microwaves) to efficiently heat up water molecules. American electrical engineer Percy Spencer is generally credited with developing and patenting the world's first commercial microwave oven, the Raytheon "Radarange", which was first sold in 1947. He based it on British radar technology which had been developed before and during World War II. Raytheon later licensed its patents for a home-use microwave oven that was first sold by Tappan in 1956, but it was still too large and expensive for general home use. Sharp Corporation introduced the first microwave oven with a turntable between 1964 and 1966, this feature created more even heating than the earlier microwave stirrer feature. The countertop microwave oven was introduced in 1967 by the Amana Corporation, which was, at the time, owned by Raytheon. After microwave ovens became affordable for residential use in the late 1970s, their use spread into residential kitchens around the world, and prices fell rapidly during the 1980s. In addition to cooking food, microwave ovens are used for heating in many industrial processes. Microwave ovens are a common kitchen appliance in households and kitchens and are popular for reheating previously cooked foods and cooking a variety of different foods. They rapidly heat foods which can easily burn or turn lumpy if cooked rapidly in conventional pans, such as butter, fats, chocolate, or porridge. Microwave ovens usually do not directly brown or caramelize food, since they rarely attain the necessary temperature to produce Maillard reactions. Exceptions occur in cases where the oven is used to heat frying-oil and other oily items (such as bacon), which attain far higher temperatures than that of boiling water. Microwave ovens have a limited role in professional cooking, because the boiling-range temperatures of a microwave oven do not produce the flavorful chemical reactions that frying, browning, or baking at a higher temperature produces. However, there are hybrid appliances that combine infrared radiation, hot air, and microwaves, such as convection microwave ovens.

Campan (French pronunciation: [kɑ̃pɑ̃]; Occitan: Campan) is a French commune located in the center of the Hautes-Pyrénées department, in the Occitanie region. Historically and culturally, the commune is in the province of Haut-Adour, formerly included in the old county of Bigorre. It is in the Bagnères-de-Bigorre urban area and is part of the Bagnères-de-Bigorre catchment area. This mountainous area consists of the western extensions of the Néouvielle and Arbizon massifs. Experiencing a mountain climate, it is drained by the Adour, Adour de Gripp, Adour de Lesponne, Gaoube, Gaoubole, Garet, the Arizes stream, and various other small rivers. Included in the Pyrénées National Park, the commune boasts a remarkable natural heritage: a Natura 2000 site ("Liset de Hount Blanque"), a protected area ("Adour and tributaries"), and sixteen natural areas of ecological, faunal, and floristic interest.

Concept

A series of riots in France began on 27 June 2023 following the fatal shooting of Nahel Merzouk in an encounter with two police officers in Nanterre, a suburb of Paris. Residents started a protest outside the police headquarters on the 27 June, which later escalated into rioting as demonstrators set cars alight, destroyed bus stops, and shot fireworks at police. By 29 June, over 150 people had been arrested, 24 officers had been injured, and 40 cars had been torched. Fearing greater unrest, Gérald Darmanin, Interior Minister of France, deployed 1,200 riot police and gendarmes in and around Paris, later adding an additional 2,000. On 29 June, Darmanin announced that the government would deploy 40,000 officers nationwide, including RAID and GIGN counter-terrorist units, to quell the violence. After 4 July, the unrest dropped drastically and was soon declared over.
