Credits and licences

This site would be nothing without the volunteer work of hundreds of thousands of contributors. Here is where everything comes from.

Wikipedia and Wikidata

Card names, summaries and measurements come from the Wikimedia projects. Texts are licensed CC BY-SA 4.0; Wikidata’s structured data is in the public domain (CC0). Each card page links to the source article in every one of the 8 languages where it exists.

Wikimedia Commons

Illustrations come from Wikimedia Commons. Only images flagged as freely reusable are kept, and each one’s author and licence appear on the card’s page. Below are the licences actually present in the catalogue.

Audience measurement

We count page views to learn where our players come from: the IP address is only used for the length of one request, to find a country, and only that country is stored. To fight cheating — one player behind several accounts — the IP addresses an account connects from are, however, associated with it, together with its browser family, and kept for 6 months at most; only the game’s administrators can see them. Address ranges come from DB-IP’s IP to Country Lite database, licensed CC BY 4.0.

Independence

WikiTCG is an independent project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the Wikimedia Foundation. The Wikipedia, Wikidata and Wikimedia Commons trademarks belong to their respective holders. The game shows no advertising and sells no data; what it collects is described in the privacy policy.

Report an image

If an illustration looks wrongly attributed or should not be here, write to us and it will be removed from the catalogue without argument — then fixed at the source if needed.
